LNWR’s Eastleigh Depot is suited to most forms of traction and rolling stock including freight vehicles for both light and heavy maintenance and refurbishment.
LNWR capabilities at Eastleigh
include:
- 32 vehicle maintenance shed with heavy lifting facilities for most types of locomotives, passenger and freight rolling stock.
- Modular jacking facility for articulated or fixed formation vehicle sets
- Load-banking facility
- Multiple fuelling and servicing points with wash-plant, water and CET (Controlled Emission Toilet) facilities
- DC third rail equipped and third rail shed traction supply
- 2 route access to Network Rail infrastructure Eastleigh station and Portsmouth lines
